Good is not good enough when the success of your business is at stake. Achieving the average is tantamount to conceding victory to your competition. Never settle for anything less than perfection, as mediocrity is the death of every venture. It will take time; be patient and diligent for perfection may require nothing less.
Unfortunately there isn’t a simple equation for perfection or success. Winston Churchill put it eloquently when he said:
The human story does not always unfold like a mathematical calculation on the principle that two and two make four. Sometimes in life they make five or minus three; and sometimes the blackboard topples down in the middle of the sum and leaves the class in disorder and the pedagogue with a black eye.”
There has been much written across the worldwide web on the keys t success and I would suggest a blog written by Mr.SelfDevelopment in Aril 2011 when he blogged on “The 5 Keys To Success” which were listed as:
- Preparation: success is when opportunity meets preparnedness
- Work: the harder you work the luckier you will find you get
- Remember the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you
- Confidence: belief in yourself and your value proposition will become contagious
- Lead: doing the best requires bringing out the best in your extended team and that can only be done from a leadership position
Merriam Webster defines perfection as:
“1: the quality or state of being perfect: as
a: freedom from fault or defect : flawlessness
b: maturity
c: the quality or state of being saintly
2a: an exemplification of supreme excellence
b: an unsurpassable degree of accuracy or excellence”
The relentless pursuit of business perfection is simply never accepting anything less. Success is waiting for you…just don’t settle along the way.
