With Thanksgiving just passed, we wanted to reflect on some things we are grateful for this year. We’re thankful for delicious meals, gathering with our loved ones, and of course, Inbound Marketing. When sales are down, what/who is it we turn to in our times of need? Batman? Not quite… it’s marketers and their inbound marketing strategies! Duh. This type of action can help turn your sales around, thus making your business more successful and profitable than ever.
So, what are we exactly thankful for?
- The Promise of Generating Traffic: Firstly, we want to generate more (new) leads… always the first step! Sales Hub put it perfectly with this: “Through the creation and delivery of relevant, quality content, inbound marketing can help you target and attract the right types of leads. Once you’ve developed your personas you can create SEO-friendly content that targets their pain points, needs, and desires.” We are all well aware that inbound marketing helps our content reach new and vast audiences. It helps us be that ultimate inside source of knowledge for those seeking it. And for that, we thank you inbound marketing.
- The Inevitable Converted Leads: Secondly, we have to collect information on your newly interested audience and convert them from viewers to actual leads. We know all about CTAs, landing pages, thank you pages, and so forth. Use those things as a stepping-stone into the hearts and minds of your readers and watch them convert into leads. Remember to offer them what they want to see and read!
- Closing the Deal Made Easy: Thirdly, we have to take those brand new leads of ours and close the deal. This is about nurturing! We want them to feel as if all their questions and desires have been answered and met. Make sure to provide them with case studies, testimonials, and one-on-one time if needed. They want to know that we will be there for them before they take the plunge and commit. They will then follow the funnel down and convert to customers.
- The Ultimate Satisfied Customer: Which brings us to the fourth and final step. Lastly, we have to make sure that our customers are happy and stay that way! Just because you’ve made the sale does not mean your job is over– not by a long shot. Satisfied customers are your best (free) marketing campaigns. When they are delighted, they tell their friends (and Yelp/whoever will listen) about their positive experience. Free PR, people!!! Come on, how great is that? Inbound marketing… you are truly the best.
