Whiteboard Animation wrote a very interesting article on “The 9 Key Advantages to Video Advertising” that we just had to share with you all.
Let’s jump into those advantages, shall we?
- “Your customers are watching more video.” People love videos. They really do. Of course, you probably already know that B2C prospects eat up videos, but you’d be surprised how many B2B users consume online videos every day.
- “Video ads convert sales.” Mainly, advertisers use video ads for awareness campaigns, hoping to drive more traffic to their site and build up a following. It can be so much more than that, however. Videos can be a strong converter when you optimize for success. Great videos can drive users to your site and ultimately down the marketing funnel.
- “People share video.” This is great for awareness plays. People are more likely to share videos than they are to share static content. When a user finds a video interesting, relevant, and engaging, they are likely to share with their followers on social media.
- “Video ads do well among mobile users.” Mobile has taken the world by storm. We all know it. So, how do we optimize for it? We create content that mobile users want to engage with, that’s how! And right now, that is videos. Admit it, scrolling through your own personal news feeds, you stop and watch a few videos along the way. Everyone does it these days. So leverage that knowledge.
- “Video is an excellent format for informing and educating.” Videos can be a great source of information. They can be quite entertaining when it comes to educating users about important aspects of your field. Videos are fun and informative, so use that.
- “Search engines love video.” Search engine companies love video content and tend to put a priority on it when tweaking the algorithms that present certain sites higher on the ranking page. Sharing your videos on all your sites and blogs will do wonders for your SEO ranking.
- “A video conveys huge amounts of information in a short time.” Along the same lines as the format being great for informing and educating, videos are meant to be snackable pieces of content. Ones that get your point across quickly and dynamically.
- “Video tells your story better than other formats.” They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but a video can tell your story effortlessly and visually. Videos help bring in emotions that can really bring in your audience.
- “Analytics are telling.” If you don’t want to just take our word for it, try it out yourself! Facebook and YouTube will show you all the relevant metrics you want to know, including number of video views, completed video views, cost per video and such.
