Time is money, my friends. As much as we don’t always like to admit it, the time we spend matters and if we are taking too much of it doing small tasks, we’re wasting money.

Often times, smaller businesses and startups believe that they are not large enough for automation tools, but that is just not the case. If anything, employees of SBMs or startups typically have to wear many hats and could use some time-saving tech.

Albizu Garcia wrote a great article for Entrepreneur.com that details out a few reasons why small businesses have a need for marketing automation tools.

  1. “Automation saves time and money.”
Working at a small company means owning many different jobs with limited resources. Hiring can take a lot of time to find the right people, which means every minute of your day matters. If you spend less time executing, you could dedicate more time strategizing or worrying about the longevity of the business. For example, running social media accounts requires effort and dedicated time. If you could pass the day to day execution work off to an automation tool or schedule out posts ahead of time, you will save yourself a lot of hours throughout the week.
  2. “Automation can help boost lead generation efforts.”
Nurturing leads can be an extremely time consuming but is an absolutely vital piece of the puzzle. If you were to leverage an automation tool to create a database of leads automatically, you will have much more data ready and waiting for your business. By saving this time, you will be able to create a more personalized experience for potential clients moving through the sales funnel.
  3. “Automation levels the playing field.”
Who cares if you’re a startup? With time-saving technology, you will be able to go up against larger companies on an even playing field. With these types of tools, you can alleviate some of the pressure associated with less people and higher risks. These types of tools tend to be extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate. Once things are set up properly, you can focus on all the other to-dos on your list with little to no worry about error.

So, there you have it! Just a few reasons you should at least look into some automation tools. What’s the harm? You might just find the next big thing for your company.
